It's been a weird time recently & has felt like something out of a sci-fi film (a rubbish sci-fi film my dad would like!)
A lot of our owners are key workers working in the NHS / Teachers & are doing amazing jobs! These have been tough times & we cannot thank them enough!
It's also been a tough time for animals too! Changes to their routines, owners being at home more / away at work for longer hours & not being able to see more familiar faces that they may have been used to!
As it comes up to a year since the start of the first lockdown back in March 2020, we asked our owners how Covid-19 has affected them / their pets & how Swift Pet Services have helped them / their pets in any way through such a difficult time.
"As someone working through the covid pandemic, Nikki was a lifesaver. She definitely helped with Maggies socialisation. Maggie has always been quite a nervous dog and can come across as aggressive... yes I know she’s a tiny cockerpoo, but really it’s just nerves. I think this was made a lot worse as she never got taken to anywhere with big crowds and lots of noise and people and dogs. Maggie was only a few months old when the first lockdown happened, right when she would have been socialised. I bet there’s quite a lot of dogs who have been affected by the lockdowns in various ways"
"Swift Pet Services have been a huge help to us and Peanut through the COVID pandemic! Nikki has kept Peanut’s routine of walks while we have still been working. She has minimised the risk of bringing COVID into our home, through regular sanitising and using her own leads when required. As Peanut can’t socialise with as many people and dogs at the moment, she gets so excited to see Nikki and I know she loves going for walks with her. Hopefully life will return to some normality soon, but thank Swift Pet Services for your help throughout these strange times!!"

How has the Pandemic affected you & your animal's? We'd love to hear!
As a teacher, the pandemic has meant that my job role has been subject to many changes, causing much disruption to Winston‘s routine. Nikki has played a significant role in supporting Winston and myself through this time, being extremely flexible to fit around Zoom lessons and work commitments at home. Winston is a lockdown pup, however Nikki has ensured that this has not affected his socialisation with other dogs and has been a star in supporting his training! If you know French bulldogs, you will know that they are not the easiest to train! 🙈 Nikki has ensured that this pandemic has been as stress-free as it possibly can for me and my dog. I would highly recommend her services!
